We bought this (at a warehouse store) for hauling a lot of salmon, and it does its job well. It has a nice solid surface, holds a lot of fish (close to 30 red salmon, depending on size), and keeps cool for a long time. Fits nicely in the pickup truck, and the cup holders and measuring units on top are nice, but don't really get used.The only drawback on this is the handles. When carrying it, you have to use two hands on each end if its full, otherwise it tilts easily and could tip and dump everything. If the handles were either toward the top, or swung up like other coolers, it'd be easy to carry with a lower center of gravity. But if you have two people with free hands, it's not too much of an issue. We bought this cooler at sams club ($59.87) but it is still the same cooler. We really like it. My husband has plans of using it for bringing home meat from a up and coming elk hunt. I do wish it did not have the cup holders. They just catch crud and I wish the lid fastener wasn't plastic...and I wish it had a split lid. But honestly we really do like this cooler. |
