This is the second cooler of this type I've bought. I like it, but if you can get the ice to last 5 or 6 days, you're a miracle worker. However they conduct the test, it's not a true test of opening and closing the cooler multiple times per day. Even if you put frozen food in it with the ice, it won't keep ice for 5-6 days--however, I will say that the ice does last longer in this cooler than the other standard coolers I've owned. It's worth buying if the price is good.

Purchased this cooler at Cabela's for $69.50. The cooler is well made and has stainless steel hinges and a stainless steel spring that keeps the lid open when loading/unloading. Also has a divider and a storage tray which are very convenient. Only complaint is no latch on lid/top, so don't tip over your canoe unless the cooler has a bungee cord or strap to secure the lid.

Great cooler for the price. This is the equavalent of the Coleman Ultimate Extreme cooler, but with stainless steel hinges and lid restraint. It is sun reflecting white and comes with a vegitable tray, and better handles. Whether it will actually keep food cold for 6 days depends on a lot of factors, but it has double the wall thickness (insulation)of standard coolers, and will most certainly obviate the need for many trips out to buy ice. Note that they recommend .75 lbs of ice per quart of capacity. That would be 45 lbs of ice for this 58 quart cooler. Right ! So don't count on 6 days in the sun !!
