I have a very similar one in blue and I was so happy with it a year later that I decided to add another one to my collection. They are perfect for camping or the beach. I would argue that they are male friendly, and I say that only because they are a bit wider and heavier than traditional folding chairs. If you are carrying them a few feet from the car to a camp site, anyone could manage it. I would argue that if you have a bit of a walk on your hands, they could be cumbersome for a smaller person. At the end of the day, how can you go wrong with a chair that has a cooler built into the arm? It is quite similar to the lining inside of a child's lunch bag and it can easily accommodate a small ziploc bag of ice and 2-3 beers. When the description read "oversized" I read that to be nice and wide and roomy.
