It can fit a gallon milk inside and still have some space for little things like 2-3 Avent bottles and some more items. You can keep more items inside if you bring a 1/2 gallon milk too. I ordered this thinking it would be a bit larger but even though it's small, it is completely functional. It's the perfect size for a picnic for two or for a short trip. I wouldn't take this camping unless it's only for one night - you definitely need one of the big ones for that. I drive from DC to NJ and back frequently and I use this all the time. The insulation properties are fantastic. I use my own freezer ice cubes (no need to buy fancy store ice) and after more than 48 hours I still had good sized ice cubes during the summer even after going in and out of it most of the trip. It works best with loose ice - not so much with those freezer bricks. You definitely need the water as the ice melts to keep the temperature consistant. Don't expect to put a whole lot in it - I had a couple of mini-bottles of water (8 ounces), four yogurts, three juices, and a couple of sandwiches and it was full. The cooler is cute, but a little small for what I wanted it for. However, it is very functional and I love the pink color with the breast cancer awareness ribbon printed on the front! The cooler was purchased for my daughter for Mother's Day (she is a breast cancer survivor, diagnosed at age 25, she is now 30). It was ordered and I was told it would be a week or so before arrival, it came in four days!! I would recommend this product for small intimate picnics as it does not hold/store very many items. |
