This makes it much easier than normal to stand and shoot. I really like this chair. The "cooler" is not great as a cooler, but it works well for a handy hide out for stuff. I usually use it to pack out my spent shells and other trash (some folks use my blind and they are simply pigs) from the duck blind. It was manufactured in the USA that long ago. No brand name on it. It finally wore out and I used it nearly daily. I used it for hunting, competition shooting and as a plein air artist. I bought this as a replacement but didn't realize that it is not a non sinking stool. First thing to get lost were the rubber cups on the legs, then the metal tubes collected dirt and grit and then that part corroded. The seat is comfortable enough but the material is not the strong canvas used with former similar stools. Even with all that, I can say the construction is better than other models made by other manufacturers. If you are going to be on hard surfaces don't hesitate. If on the beach or sandy soil, consider that the legs sink down to the cross bars, which eventually begin to tear away since they are riveted in place. |
